Digital phenotyping technologies: an emerging tool in genomic selection and animal welfare science?

چکیده
Farm animals provide about 30% of humanity’s food requirements [1]. The world’s population’s demand for animal products is expected to keep growing. New technologies in husbandry can make it possible meet this and reduce its impact on the environment. Genomic selection plays a key role process as promising safe method improving genetic qualities farm animals. Before widespread genomic selection, high cost genotyping was main factor holding back an improvement farming. However, today, bottleneck limited amount high-quality phenotypic data, which still either difficult or too costly obtain [2]. phenotyping become special attention. current paper reviews next-generation revels challenges limiting example dairy cattle.

Healing of wound involves a series of overlapping phases, including homeostasis, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling. The inflammation is accompanied by edema, pain, redness and leukocytic infiltration as neutrophils, macrophages and fibroblasts that were considered as minor sources of the cytokine[1,2]. The healing process in full-thickness wounds includes coagulation, inflammation, fo...

D-dimer is a protein fragment consisted with two cross linked D domains from an original fibrinogen. It produced from the cleavage of cross-linked fibrin by plasmin in fibrinolysis process during thrombosis formation. Thrombosis occludes both arteries and veins which are the worldwide underlying leading cause of death. Merely, in the United States, more than 2,000 patients die each day for clot...

Public attitudes toward animal welfare have improved with growing social affluence, and veterinarians are increasingly expected to be informed about animal welfare in a broader sense than health alone. However, animal welfare has not been a traditional component of the veterinary curriculum. To help address this lack, the World Society for the Protection of Animals(WSPA) and the University of B...
